Since I got on the pump years ago I pretty much eat what I want. But my freebie snacks ( little to no carbs) were cheese, meats like pepperoni or salami, hardboiled eggs, tuna. I basically stuck to proteins and cheese. I've always been a big carnivore and fully addicted to cheese 😁 I tried snacking on celery and carrots but I just couldn't do it. Popcorn isn't too bad for carbs and it's more filling too. It can be frustrating figuring out what to eat in the beginning and finding things you actually enjoy. I'm going on 29 years with the betes and I certainly don't know everything but if you ever need to talk I'm here for you.

For snacking I love popcorn. You get a whopping 3 cups for a serving. Also, celery and pb...cream cheese...salsa. Celery and ANYTHING! You basically can snack on anything, as long as you take the correct dosage of insulin beforehand. That's probably the hard part...knowing beforehand what you want to eat before you inject.
