My Sugars Keep Go Very Low After Dinner, Then A Couple Hours Later It Will Go In The High 200’s. Not Sure Why.

A myT1Dteam Member asked a question 💭

I’m the primary medical caregiver for my husband who has congestive-end stage heart failure and the doctors say there is nothing more they can do for him. I have a son going through aggressive cancer, hoping he will beat it. Not sure if all the stress is causing my issues. My eating habits are bad, forget to eat or take my bolus after I eat. Get little sleep.

Take your bolus about an hour after you eat dinner. That works for me.

Stress can definitely affect your blood sugar, as can forgetting to bolus for a meal. You need to take care of yourself so that you can be there for your family.
