I have been an Omnipod user since about 2010. Now with the Omnipod 5, it is conveniently looped to the Dexcom 6. I recently had a big problem with the Dexcom app when I switched from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 14. After a day of false readings, a Dexcom rep talked me through installing a new Dexcom sensor (on my right abdominal site) and then installing a new Dexcom 6 app from the App Store and things sort of settled down. The good thing about the Omnipod 5 system is that over night my blood sugar level is automatically regulated because the Omnipod 5 is looped to the Dexcom 6, so that I wake up with blood sugar in the normal range. Right now, writing to you I am at 124 and rising (not good) but when I awoke an hour ago, it was at about 90. Time for me to bolus!!
I don't know about this device. Sorry
Yes, I have had Mobi for about 2 months. So, I love it! It is small and easy to tuck under my waistband. I am having problems with the display telling me it is not in range for my CGM, but I know it is because my Dexcom app displays my numbers just fine. I am currently using the G6 Dexcom with it as it was not compatible with the G7 until after I started wearing it. Also, I am a controlled Type 1, and am used to having my blood sugar more around 90-100, but the system tries to keep me around 110 which my Dr. is fine with. I was using a Medtronic pump before without control IQ, so it has taken me some time to get used to it and a different type of infusion set.
I had a pump and the only issue I had was insulin is temperature sensitive. When I rode my motorcycle during the summer when it's hot the insulin would go bad. That was years ago. I switched to pens and now I use vials and syringes
Thanks Joan. That is good to know. Do you had any problems with your tubing?
