The key to managing blood glucose variability is working closely with your endocrinologist to establish personalized target ranges. While individual needs vary, most people with type 1 diabetes aim to:

• Keep blood glucose between 70-180 mg/dL throughout the day
• Maintain A1C levels below 7%
• Minimize episodes of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) To help reduce glucose variability:

• Take insulin consistently as prescribed
• Consider discussing an insulin pump with your doctor, as pumps can help deliver more precise insulin doses
• Track patterns in your glucose levels and adjust insulin doses accordingly with your healthcare team's guidance

A myT1Dteam member reported success with reducing insulin needs through careful monitoring and dose adjustments, achieving more stable glucose levels over time.
