What are the physical symptoms of high blood sugar?
When blood sugar levels are high (hyperglycemia), you may experience several noticeable symptoms:
* Feeling dehydrated or very thirsty despite drinking water
* Blurry vision
* Tiredness or feeling weak
* Needing to urinate more often than normal
If blood sugar remains very high and your body starts breaking down fat for energy, more serious symptoms can develop, including:
* Nausea and vomiting
* Stomach pain
* Fruity-smelling breath
* Shortness of breath
* Confusion
It's important to monitor your blood sugar levels regularly and contact your healthcare provider if you're experiencing persistent high blood sugar symptoms, as they may need to adjust your treatment plan.
