I will be meeting with my new endocrinologist next week. I want to ask him if I can get on the omnipod 5. Is anyone on a pump? Pros & Cons?

I used the tandem pump first. The bad part about that was the tubing getting caught even with being careful. I've been using the Omnipod 5 for 2 years now and it works great! No tubes, no disconnecting while showering or swimming.

Used Omnipod pump with Dexcom BCM for several years. No problems.

Thanks for the advice, Emily. My doctor is a big fan of the Tandem Mobi (tubeless). I might have to switch to a Dexcom instead of a Libre 3 because of compatibility. He's not a fan of the OmniPro. I am going to diabetes education Tuesday for a pump assessment, so I'll know more then.

There are definitely pros and cons. I found that I couldn't get in a hot tub with the Omnipod, and I was afraid to even take a relaxing bath because I had heard from some that the Pod had fallen off. Also, after the three day period when taking the pod off my skin, it leaves a sticky residue that is hard to get off. I had to use UniSolve heavily, but still some remained at times. However, if you like to have no tubing, then this one's for you. Good luck!
