Members discussing high blood sugar shared a range of personal experiences, from recurring DKA episodes to daily struggles with levels above 250, especially during illness or when managing insulin resistance and PCOS. Several members described how switching to or using insulin pumps, particularly the Tandem Mobi and Tandem Slim with Dexcom CGM, dramatically improved their time in range from as low as 12% to over 65%, though some expressed understandable nervousness about taking that step. A recurring theme was the trust placed in endocrinologists for guidance, the ongoing trial and error of finding what works, and the community's willingness to offer encouragement and practical advice to those considering pump therapy.

Hi 👋 DonnaWelch. My daughter Rae just went on the Tandem Mobi after being on the Omnipod for about 7 yrs (I think). The only thing that’s better on the Omnipod is its wireless however, I don’t personally believe it’s worth the malfunctioning that occurred all the time. Good luck with the Slim I think it’s a great choice.

Thanks Gina! I have an appointment with my endo on Monday. The primary discussion will be about getting a pump, I'm looking at the Tandem Slim. I had asked the rep from Tandem to show me both of theirs and he put me off for 2 months, now I will have to make a decision alone. I sure hope I'm making the right choices with this. Wish me luck, everyone!

Hello! I have a yo-yo effect going on. Between 12 am and 6 pm, I'm high 300's. It's like a zig- zag effect but up n down. My endocrinologist has me doing shots every 4 hours to see if it will help. If you have any questions,,please ask. I will help if I can. Take care
