It's frustrating when CGM inaccuracy gets in the way of using a system you've invested in β€” especially one as capable as the t:slim X2 with Control-IQ!

The challenge is that the t:slim X2 with Control-IQ is currently only FDA-approved to work with Dexcom CGMs, so switching to a different CGM brand wouldn't be compatible with the automated features you're hoping to use. That said, there are a couple of things worth exploring:

- Sensor placement β€” Accuracy can sometimes improve by trying different placement sites (arm vs. abdomen)
- Calibration β€” Some Dexcom models allow manual calibration with finger sticks to improve accuracy
- Warm-up period β€” Making sure the sensor has fully warmed up before relying on readings can help
- Medications β€” Some medications like acetaminophen can interfere with CGM accuracy

If Dexcom accuracy continues to be a concern, it may be worth discussing with your care team whether a different pump system β€” like the MiniMed 780G, which pairs with its own CGM β€” might be a better overall fit for your needs.
